It's counter service and you serve yourself when it comes to plates, silverware, etc. so your first time going it will feel different than what you are used to. Now that we know, we know! Don't pass up the cucumber salad. It's so simple, yet unique and tasty. In a world where it's getting harder to find good value, this restaurant delivers. We'll be back! ”
“ This place reminds me of Japan. Ordering at a kiosk and NO tip expected. Food was great for a quick bite at lunch at a great price. Lunch specials at a great value at 10-12. Though they have a full menu. Atmosphere is nice and the menu looks expansive. I will be back for sure. Food is cooked to order. I cant wait to come and try more food. No tip comes with no table service. I see a few 1 star reviews about this. If your to lazy to get up and get your own water other Chinese restraunts just down the street will take your money. I personally like the more authentic experience myself. ”

Even though you order from a kiosk and find your own table, the waiters are attentive and bring the food very quickly. “ Searching for a different experience, my wife and I decided to try recently opened Rakar Dumpling House. We were pleased to find an extensive menu offering soups, salads, many choices of dumplings PLUS traditional Chinese cuisine. The young staff was super helpful to us first-timers ordering from the menu kiosk (photos of offerings) and were very pleasant throughout. The place is large with ample room and seating choices in a relaxed setting. There is a beautifully decorated room for large groups and private parties. Regarding our food selections, my wife had cashew chicken and I chose pork dumplings with crab Rangoon and egg drop soup. I rate our selections a “4” re: taste but am anxious to return and try other dishes. Lastly, the eating area is complemented by lovely displays of home decor items for sale. My wife commented that prices were “very reasonable.” We do plan to return with friends who’ve not yet been there. ”
“ Looks like Rakar Dumpling house is celebrating their two years anniversary this weekend with 50% discount on any dumplings and also giving a complimentary pork soup dumplings per person. Talking about ambiance, this place is so well designed with a lot of plants, antiques, rock carvings etc., with a lot of natural light. Tables can easily hold anywhere from a group of 2 to max. 8-10 folks. We ordered a lot of food in the kiosk and all the food has been served one by one within 5-10 minutes. Everything was delicious & served hot with a lot of flavors :-) Lamb dumplings 4.5/5 Pork/Beef dumplings 4/5 Pork soup dumplings 4.5/5 Fried Steamed Buns 4/5 Service has been top notch today. One of the staffs welcomed us at the door when entering & explained the deal of the day and complimentary food items. That was actually nice and helpful! ”
“ I’ve been anxious to try Rakar, and tonight I finally got to enjoy their delicious food! I used to travel to China often, and I think their food is very authentic. They even have some dishes that I have never found stateside! Everything was amazing, it all tasted fresh and reminded me of my friend’s mother’s homemade dumplings. The beef pan fried dumplings and the pork soup dumplings were my favorite. The cucumber salad was the perfect complement to the dumplings, and the fried mantou buns for dessert sealed the deal. ”
